Reviews samples聽 defects, consistency in color, color correct to color okayed press sheet and color target. Compares supplied聽copy target to ensure it is correct to finished product. Approves new items for the release to ship, packaging of samples for shipment daily, complying with federal, state, company policies & safety rules. Assists manufacturing in maintaining the required quality standards through ongoing inspection of samples for internal use and customer requested samples. Checks pagination, size, wrap of graphics, and visual cosmetic defects Compares color of product to signed off color okay sheet and supplied color target. Reads job ticket and verifies product is correct to job ticket specifications, selection numbers, or other specifications before beginning the job. Reads Sales Order to confirm the quantity of samples required and individuals requesting samples. Reviews front, back, all text pages of all samples that will be used internally and sent to sales, CSRs, and customers. Pulls random samples per聽聽company and customer specified聽Inspection requirements Creates file labels for file room samples Dates and initials each file room sample Identifies suspect product by completing and placing a Hold tag in the load. Reports any questions or problems to the Quality Assurance Manager Approves new items to ship by releasing job to the shipping department. Performs other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager. At times, helps out in other areas of QA (i.e., audit machines, weigh count cases, perform final inspections, or assist with inspecting nonconforming product).
